Focused Approach
Dr. Raczynski utilizes a solution-focused approach designed to create solutions rather than focus on problems . Therapy should have clear goals that help to guide the therapeutic process and determine when it is time for that process to conclude. In other words, a solution-focused approach can get results in fewer sessions.

What is virtual treatment?
It's a modern approach to mental health care that lets you access services remotely through a virtual platform. Rather than heading to a provider's office in person, you can connect with Dr. Raczynski right from the comfort of your home or any location that works for you.

Understanding anxiety, trauma, and depression
Anxiety, trauma, and depression are often interrelated, but not always. Regardless, the good news is that they can all be successfully overcome. If you are suffering from one or more of these conditions, feel free to submit any questions you may have below. You may also find more information on the “about” page.

Understanding How ADHD is related to anxiety and/or depression

ADHD symptoms such as difficulty with time management, organization, motivation, task initiation & completion, impulsivity, and difficulty focusing can lead to struggles in school / work and relationships. This often leads to a vicious cycle, which serves to exacerbate any existing anxiety / depression, and can lower self-esteem. The good news is that the cycle can be broken by understanding the nature of the disorder and implementing some fairly simple individualized strategies. Dr. Raczynski is a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP).
Pre-Teens & Teens (ages 10-19)
For over a decade there has been a disturbing decline in the mental health of children and adolescents, especially for girls. This phenomenon is not a mystery; there are a number of well-established contributing factors that have been identified. Unfortunately, untreated mental health issues during adolescence are not temporary issues. They can impair a person’s ability to function well into adulthood and significantly increase the likelihood for the following: low self-concept, academic underperformance, chronic mental illness, suicide, substance abuse, social withdrawal/isolation, family conflict, unemployment/underemployment, legal trouble, reduced life satisfaction, and even physical health illnesses. If your adolescent is struggling with social relationships, anxiety, depression, or other related issues, there are proven ways to help.
Understanding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
PTSD is a very real condition that can leave people suffering in a state of heightened stress following a traumatic event or events. This heightened stress response often leads to some common symptoms including: flashbacks, nightmares, sleep problems, trouble experiencing positive emotions, irritability, trouble concentrating, self-destructive behaviors, and hypervigilance. People develop persistent PTSD symptoms due to subconsciously making what is called a faulty pattern match during a traumatic event. In a nut shell, the traumatic memory gets stuck in the emotion producing part of the brain, which has no sense of time. This is why people with PTSD generally recall the traumatic event, and the emotional response, as if it just happened, even if it happened many years in the past. The very good news is that people with PTSD generally respond quite well to treatment. There are effective techniques to calmly and safely process memories and put them where they belong, in the past. Additionally, it is not uncommon to see significant improvements after the very first treatment session.
